Sometimes we create unnecessary Gmail accounts that we don’t use often. If you have many Gmail accounts on your phone and want to remove some of them you can do so by following the steps below.
To remove Gmail from your mobile device, follow these steps:
For Android devices:
•Open the Settings app on your Android device.
•Scroll down to the “Accounts” section and tap on it.
•Find “Google” in the list of accounts and tap on it.
•Tap on the Gmail account that you want to remove.
•Tap on the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner of the screen.
•Select “Remove account” from the options that appear.
•Confirm that you want to remove the account by tapping “Remove account” again.
For iOS devices:
•Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
•Tap on “Passwords & Accounts” (or “Mail” on older versions of iOS).
•Find the Gmail account that you want to remove and tap on it.
•Tap on “Delete Account” at the bottom of the screen.
•Confirm that you want to remove the account by tapping “Delete Account” again.
You will still be able to access your account from a web browser or other device. Removing a Gmail account from your mobile device will not delete your Gmail account entirely.
